The RTG Global Awards celebrate excellence in leadership, innovation and impact across safer gambling, compliance, financial crime risk management, industry integrity and community contribution. They form part of the sixth edition of Regulating the Game, a conference dedicated to regulatory capability building, sector integrity, and ethical leadership.

Jamie Nettleton is a pre-eminent authority in gambling law and Past President of IMGL. Jamie is a Partner at Addisons in Sydney, where he advises operators, investors, and regulators on the complex and increasingly restrictive regulations affecting the global gaming sector. His reputation for legal and strategic excellence is consistently recognised in legal benchmark surveys and directories.

Jamie is sought after by a broad cross-section of Australian and international clients, including gaming machine manufacturers, online gambling operators, wagering providers, casinos, and social media platforms, seeking advice on licensing, compliance, integrity, advertising, and consumer protection. His experience is especially valued by private equity firms and businesses entering the Australian market, particularly where innovation and technology intersect with highly regulated environments.

IMGL is a not-for-profit association of over 300 members globally, recognised as leading legal and regulatory experts in their jurisdictions. IMGL’s core mission is education, delivered through two major international conferences annually and its renowned Masterclass series held in collaboration with major industry events across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

“We’re honoured to contribute to the inaugural RTG Global Awards and support this important initiative recognising leadership, innovation and integrity across compliance, safer gambling, and sector stewardship. IMGL is committed to advancing education and professional excellence globally, and we’re pleased to partner with Regulating the Game through both the judging panel and the IMGL Masterclass program.”

– Marc Dunbar, President, International Masters of Gaming Law

In addition to Jamie’s appointment to the judging panel, IMGL will deliver a dedicated IMGL Masterclass at Regulating the Game 2026. The session will spotlight key regulatory challenges and legal insights shaping the global gambling landscape.

Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and founder of Regulating the Game, welcomed the announcement:

“Jamie brings a wealth of legal and commercial expertise and is widely regarded as the leading gambling lawyer in Australia. His appointment, and IMGL’s involvement, reflect the global calibre and integrity focus of the RTG Global Awards. We’re delighted to welcome both Jamie and IMGL to the judging panel and the RTG program and look forward to spotlighting their leadership and insights.”
