In 2022, David Newton was shortlisted for the Global Gaming Awards for ‘Executive of the Year’.
In 2021, Paddy Power won the ‘Betting Shop Operator of the Year’ award for the second consecutive year at the Global Gaming Awards London.
Then, in 2023, Paddy Power won the Award for Retail Operator of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards London.
EMPLOYMENT
In December 2011, he started serving as the Operations Director of Paddy Power Betfair (which became Flutter Entertainment in February 2016, after the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair). Four years later he started serving as the UK Retail Director and, between February 2017 and September 2020, he was Managing Director of Paddy Power Betfair’s Retail branch.
Before working with Paddy Power, Newton worked for almost four years for Ladbrokes Coral as the Head of Gaming Operations and as Regional Manager.
Between August 2004 and March 2008, he was the Arena Manager/ Store Manager of Woolworths and between December 2002 and August 2004, he was a self-employed Web Designer.
PRODUCTS LAUNCHED
At the end of 2022, the company announced an exclusive, long-term deal with the B2B gaming content provider, Inspired Entertainment.
That deal saw Paddy Power gain access to Inspired’s fully integrated managed services for its entire UK estate consisting of approximately 1,400 terminals.
