MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Bauer has experienced a vibrant career that has seen him operate across a number of high-profile leadership roles. These roles have largely seen Bauer focussing on the financial side of affairs, undertaking positions such as Project Manager, Head of Financial Structuring, Manager of Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer.

In 2013, Bauer turned his talents to the gaming industry, joining Novomatic as Project Manager before moving over to the Greentube division. At Greentube, Bauer rose through the ranks to become the CPO as well as the CRO of the company. Bauer still holds both positions to this day.

EMPLOYMENT

Bauer began his professional career as an Intern at Deutsche Börse in 2005. This role lasted less than a year, but ultimately led to him moving on to Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) where he took on the role of Manager.

In this managerial role at PwC, Bauer was heavily involved in the financial side of the company, overseeing territories such as financial engineering, project financing and financial modelling for public-private partnerships. He worked in this role for just over three years from August 2006 to November 2009.

Shortly after, Bauer stepped into the position of Head of Financial Structuring and Project Development for a construction company called Alpine Bau GmbH. Here, again, Bauer was handling the financial deals for the company as well as leading the bid team. Bauer held this role for three and a half years from December 2009 to June 2013.

Bauer’s next career move saw him enter the gaming industry, joining Novomatic in September 2013. Bauer served as the Project Manager for the company for a year and a half before moving on in January 2015.

Following on from this, Bauer joined Greentube – Novomatic’s Interactive division – as the Manager of Corporate Finance. He held this role for just under a year between February 2015 and November 2015.

Off the back of his strong performance for the company, Bauer was then appointed as Greentube’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in November 2015.

In addition to his CFO role, it was announced in September 2017 that Bauer was to also undertake the position of Chief Games Officer (CFO) for the company.

Regarding this CFO appointment, Bauer commented: “Greentube and I share the same ambitions and values, and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to step in as CGO at this very exciting period of the company’s growth."

In April 2025, Bauer was promoted once again, this time to the positions of both CPO and CRO. Here, he is responsible for overseeing end-to-end product strategy, including ideation, game design, development and roll-out of a global portfolio of online casino games. He is also focused on the European, American and African markets.

“We are producing great games and have a very diverse and localised content portfolio. Especially large customers that operate in various markets will benefit from this fact. I am looking forward to working with my new teams to boost sales, streamline the delivery structure and to drive the business forward.”  Michael Bauer
