During her career, Sainsbury has worked with regulators, operators and vendors throughout North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

GeoComply’s CSR division, Impact, directs corporate attention toward addressing some of the most difficult challenges facing women and children today. 

Sainsbury is passionate about stopping digital child exploitation and advocating for gender equality in the workplace. She has been a Member of Chief for almost a year. Chief is a private network designed to drive more women into positions of power. 

During her career, she gained various skills in areas such as online gambling and poker, e-commerce, strategy, management, start-ups, leadership, product management, online marketing, customer acquisition, business strategy, affiliate and executive management, loyalty programmes, business processes and more. 

GeoComply’s software is installed on over 400 million devices worldwide and analyses over 3 billion transactions a year. Among its clients are the likes of Amazon Prime Video, BBC, Akamai, DraftKings, FanDuel and MGM Resorts. 

GeoComply acquired OneComply in May 2023. 

AWARDS

Anna Sainsbury was named the American Executive of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards in 2020 and 2021

In 2021 and 2022, GeoComply’s IDComply won the Digital Product of the Year Award at the Global Gaming Awards. 

In 2018 and 2020, The Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas granted GeoComply the Responsible Business of the Year Award. 

EMPLOYMENT

As Chairman of GeoComply, Sainsbury is now focusing on developing and delivering a reliable geolocation solution for the expanding geolocation compliance and geofence markets. She was appointed CEO and Chairman of GeoComply in January 2022, but she is also Co-Founder, and has been working alongside the group for over 11 years. 

Sainsbury has been serving as the Board Trustee of Conscious Gaming since September 2020, where she helps drive change by developing innovative tools and outreach programmes. 

She also works alongside the American Gaming Association (AGA), where she was appointed as a Board Member in January 2019. 

In 2019, she took on the role of Adjunct Professor and Course Lead at the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law. 

Between September 2020 and May 2022, she served as a Board Member for MVB Bank. 

Sainsbury was also a Consultant for Gaming Compliance and Regulation between December 2009 and October 2011. 

She was Commercial Director for Technical Systems Testing for four years and two months. 

She worked as a Broker for Allwest Insurance between May 2004 and November 2005, where she developed and maintained a large client database of personal clients and delivered a record increase in client development and commissions. 

PRODUCTS LAUNCHED

GeoComply provides fraud prevention and cybersecurity solutions that detect location fraud and help verify a user’s true digital identity. 

Beyond iGaming, the company provides geolocation fraud detection solutions for streaming video broadcasters and the online banking, payments and cryptocurrency industries. 

In November 2022, GeoComply became the geolocation and fraud-prevention solution for approved Maryland sports betting operators. 

Also in November, the company celebrated the opening of a new office in Canada, as a response to the demand to support customers in Ontario. 

In October 2022, New Jersey operator Resorts Digital Gaming became the first operator to launch the GeoComply Chargeback Integrator (GCI) to deal with the problem of credit card chargebacks. 

In September 2022, GeoComply was awarded a conditional licence by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, making the company the first and only age and identity verification service licensed in Ohio.
