Michigan’s online sportsbooks accepted a record of $463.6m in bets for October, up 31% from September and surpassing the previous record of $359.5m set in March.
Combined with $34.2m in retail betting, the state’s total handle set a record of $497.6m in wagering, up 29% from the previous month.
Online sportsbooks won $24.3m in gross revenue for October. FanDuel led the online market with $124m in wagers, DraftKings followed with $120.4m and BetMGM came in third with $102.2m in handle.
Michigan’s online casinos and poker rooms reached a new high, with $109.7m in gross gaming revenue for October, up 7% from the previous month.
Daily revenue grew to $3.5m over the 31 days of the month, from $3.4m per day in September. Since launching in January, online casinos and poker room operators have generated $884.6m in gross gaming revenue.
The results further underpin a strong month of US sportts betting.
Records have fallen in other states recently, particularly New Jersey and Pennsylvania. While Nevada continually posts over a billion in monthly revenue, NJ sportsbooks are now getting used to billions in monthly handle (although is is some way off billions in monthly revenue!).
