Bally’s first proposal consisted of a $1.8bn property in the Chicago Tribune Publishing Center, with 500 rooms, six restaurants/cafes and a food hall, three bars and lounges; additionally, a 70,000 square feet venue with seating for 3,000 guests, 3,400 slots and 173 table games.
Its second proposal is a $1.6bn property in McCormick Place Truck Marshaling with 500 rooms, six restaurants/cafes and a food hall, three bars and lounges. This also contains a 70,000 venue with seating for 3,000, 3,400 slots and 173 table games.
HR Chicago’s proposal represented a $1.7bn property from Hard Rock International with up to 500 rooms, either restaurant/cafes and a food hall. The venue will have offer seating for 3,500 guests, 3,400 slots and 166 table games.
River Chicago at McCormick proposed a $1.3bn property at Lakeside Center with 2,900 hotel rooms (with the ability to add 250 or more additional rooms), 12 restaurant/cafes seating for 4,200 customers, 2,600 slots and 190 table games.
The fifth proposal was River 78 Gaming’s $2bn property with 300 rooms, eight restaurants/cafes, 2,600 slots and 190 table games.
The holder of the Chicago owner’s licence will have the opportunity to operate a temporary casino for up to 24 months and, thereafter, a permanent casino located in the city.
