The month’s total handle of $475.4m fell 3% short of the $491.5m in wagers reached for October. Bettors placed $15.9m in wagers daily, the same betting volume that was reported for the previous month.
Year-on-year volume surged 106% from $231.2m for November 2020, while online betting generated 90% of Colorado’s total handle.
Sportsbooks broke the state’s gross revenue record with $36.8m for November, up 29% from the previous total set last month. Year-on-year, gross revenue was up 100%.
Net sports betting proceeds went up to $19.3m from $9.8m for October, breaking the record of $11.7m that was set in January 2021; that produced $1.98m in state taxes.
Pro football generated $140.3m in wagers for November, down 22% from the previous month, but that was because November offered one fewer weekend of football compared to October.
College football showed a 74% decrease to $29.4m. Basketball, however, made up for the loss of football inventory. Pro basketball wagering jumped 49% to $124.7m, while college basketball produced $29m and ice hockey another $14m for November.
