In a statement sent to Gambling Insider, the company said it remains strong and is looking to “help those who need it most,” despite being itself impacted by the conflict, with most of its team located in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
While operations were temporarily suspended following Russia’s invasion on 24 February, the provider said its employees were back to work a few days later, because “it is more important than ever to support the team: morally and financially.”
Since then, the company has retained jobs and even hired two new employees. Gamzix said it was also able to increase profits, which were donated to charity. The salary of the company’s CEO, Aleksandr Kosogov, further goes towards donations for “Ukrainian citizens who are in trouble.”
“In these extremely difficult times for Ukraine, we are trying to do our best to help Ukrainians. We have moved most of our employees with their families to a safe place and continue working,” said Kosogov.
“Despite temporary places of stay, problems with the cellular and the internet, the Gamzix team is focused on the result and is not going to stop any working process.”
Gamzix concluded that it is driven by a “wonderful” goal, “to help all Ukrainians,” and that the company believes “in the bright future of the country.”
This comes after a similar statement from EveryMatrix Group CEO Ebbe Groes, who told Gambling Insider the supplier was “staying strong” despite the turmoil of the war in Ukraine.
