The agreement, which is subject to licensing and regulatory approvals, will initially see the NFL franchise and Bally’s finalise details for a VIP lounge at FirstEnergy Stadium, which will feature the B2B supplier’s branding and fan-focused events for customers.
The lounge is set to combine sports betting with a premium viewing experience on match days.
Haslam Sports Group EVP and COO Dave Jenkins commented: “In addition to incredible resources and expertise, Bally's has the fan-first mindset consistent with our focus and pivotal to creating successful, fully integrated sports betting experiences. We look forward to supporting Bally's efforts to provide these innovative opportunities to Browns fans and all sports fans in Ohio in the near future.
“As we continue to work closely with sports betting regulators in our state to ensure a responsible and timely launch, we are excited and confident our partnership with Bally's will ultimately offer benefits to fans throughout Cleveland and Ohio.”
Furthermore, with sports betting launching in Ohio no later than 1 January 2023, Bally’s is planning to develop a mobile sportsbook app for customers across the state.
The move would represent the 18th US state in which Bally’s has an online sports betting presence and will look to make all elements of its partnership with the Browns accessible to fans by this point.
Bally's Interactive COO of North America Adi Dhandhania said: “We are excited to partner with such a historic football franchise to secure sports betting market access in Ohio, and bring to its fan base more ways to engage through our online gaming platforms.
“The Browns' stadium and gameday atmosphere provide a great opportunity for us to showcase our Bally Bet Sportsbook app and Bally Play products in Ohio.”
