In conjunction with the Rangers Charity Foundation, the project offers mental health support and advice to men.
Thus far, it has helped numerous individuals across the Scottish city, and with Kindred’s renewed support, will continue to do so. Kindred will also relinquish its front-of-shirt sponsorship for Rangers’ upcoming Europa League semi-final match against RB Leipzig.
Instead of the normal 32Red logo, the club’s players will bear the Team Talk emblem. If Rangers beats Leipzig when they face off later today, the special, Team Talk-branded shirts will be worn again for the final in May.
Connal Cochrane, Director at the Rangers Foundation, commented: “We know talking can save lives and we can now extend the programme for another year, building on the success it had last year.
“This will allow existing and new participants to attend our weekly programme which has already had tangible benefit for their mental health and wellbeing and allowed the group to start forming connections with each other as well as be supported by our staff in a safe space.”
Alongside Rangers, Kindred also sponsors Middlesbrough and Derby County, investing in Team Talk projects at both clubs.
“The investment we are announcing today means Rangers Charity Foundation can continue the fantastic progress it made during the first year of the project,” said Neil Banbury, General Manager UK at Kindred.
“Using the unique relationship supporters have with their local club, we hope to reach hundreds more men with the expanded mental health support services who would otherwise be suffering in silence.”
