Burge, who joins the soon-to-be-launched Dazn Bet from William Hill, spent nearly three years with her former employer. She served in a similar role at William Hill, leading the company’s Safer Gambling Policy, Strategy and Risk department.
Prior to William Hill, Burge spent a similar amount of time at Sky Bet, undertaking several roles in the company’s Risk Assurance department.
On her new position, Burge commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Safer Gambling at Dazn Bet. I'm really excited to be working for this incredible brand as it starts its new venture, building a gambling experience that will promote safe play and customer well-being. Time to pack those bags and relocate to the Rock!”
Dazn Bet, which will launch this summer with the technical support of Pragmatic Play, will be headquartered in Gibraltar.
Dazn plans to launch its new sports betting service in time for the start of the forthcoming 2022/23 football season, which will be on the final weekend of July for the English Football League and the first weekend of August for the Premier League.
Burge is the latest in a string of new appointments made by the fledgling company.
Mark Kemp has been installed as Dazn Bet’s new CEO, having previously served as CEO of BoyleSports and Managing Director of Tote UK.
Furthermore, former Amazon and Entain executives, Sandeep Tiku and Ian Turnbull, were named Chief Technology Officer and EVP of Betting, respectively.
