For the second year running, Light & Wonder picked up the Casino Supplier of the Year Award at the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2023 back in May.
Last year, at the inaugural Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific, Light & Wonder received two top accolades including ‘Casino Supplier of the Year’ and ‘Casino Product of the Year’ for MDX, the company’s 10-Deck Shuffler.
Matt Wilson is the current President and CEO at Light & Wonder. Prior to his time at Light & Wonder, Wilson served almost 16 years at Aristocrat as President and Managing Director Americas, where he was responsible for the Commercial Operations of Aristocrat’s Americas division.
Light & Wonder has been expanding in Asia, recently signing a deal to provide slots and electronic table games at the upcoming Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea.
Speaking on Light and Wonder’s Award win, Wilson, CEO of Light & Wonder exclusively commented to Gambling Insider: “I think it's a really important market for us. It's a market that's been a big challenge the last few years, being slower to recover from Covid-19 than some of the other markets around the world.
“But it's a market that we've been investing in; we have some incredible game design talent that knows that market really, really well. We have one particular designer that was born in China, who understands the dynamics of that market, and she builds a lot of market-leading products.
“We're excited about that. We're doubling down our efforts in terms of investment in building games for that market. And that market is an important part of what we do.”
