Paul Liu has been appointed by Wynn Resorts to the operator's Board of Directors.
He has professional experience in the entertainment, hospitality and financial services industries in China and the Asia-Pacific area. He is also a Class I member of the Board and an Independent Director.
Liu was formerly based in Shanghai and a Partner at Egon Zehnder AG, a global leadership consultancy business specialising in board advising, management evaluation and executive recruitment.
He oversaw the Asia Pacific region's Services Practise at Egon Zehnder, which served both Chinese and multinational businesses with an emphasis on hotels and hospitality.
He was a founder of the renowned Three On The Bund, the upscale lifestyle destination in Shanghai, where he served as CFO, and he previously held the position of COO of the entertainment titan Anschutz Entertainment Group China.
In addition, he worked in finance for 14 years earlier in his career in New York and Hong Kong at JPMorgan, UBS, Peregrine and Bank of America.
Furthermore, Liu is a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations and has a keen interest in Sino-American relations.
