CoinPoker Makes $1 Million CoinMillion a Monthly Tournament Fixture
The $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion poker tournament is now a monthly event on CoinPoker.
CoinPoker is turning its $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion tournament into a permanent monthly offering, adding another marquee event to its online poker schedule after the first two editions attracted more than 9,000 combined entries.
The $215 buy-in tournament will now run on the first Sunday of every month, beginning with the next edition on Aug. 9. Additional events are already scheduled for Sept. 6 and Oct. 4, each featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.
The move follows successful debut editions during the World Poker Masters in May and the Battle of Malta Online festival in July. CoinPoker said the recurring schedule is designed to give players a consistent opportunity to compete for seven-figure guaranteed prize pools.
The two-day tournament begins at 16:30 UTC (12:30 p.m. ET) on Sunday before concluding Monday, when the remaining players return to play down to a seven-handed final table. Entrants start with 100,000 chips, equivalent to 200 big blinds, with 10-minute blind levels and late registration remaining open through Level 19.
CoinPoker said the event uses a top-heavy payout structure, with previous champions each earning more than 12% of the guaranteed prize pool. Winners also receive a custom physical trophy, a digital award displayed in the site’s Trophy Cabinet and a place in the CoinMillion Hall of Champions.
Strong Early Turnout
The inaugural CoinMillion attracted 4,278 entries on May 10, with player “DaniC1994” claiming the title and a first-place prize of $126,500.
The second edition, held during the Battle of Malta Online festival on July 12, drew an even larger field of 4,784 entries. Player “monc” captured the championship and $121,500 after taking a commanding chip lead during three-handed play.
CoinPoker also highlighted broader platform activity, saying more than 22,000 players participated in tournaments on Sunday, July 26, as it continues expanding its online poker schedule.
Play Your Way In
Players can qualify for the monthly CoinMillion through a range of satellite tournaments rather than paying the $215 buy-in directly.
Direct satellites are offered for buy-ins between $5.50 and $44, while additional “Step” freerolls allow players to advance through qualifying stages at no cost. According to CoinPoker, free qualifying tournaments run multiple times per day leading up to each CoinMillion event, giving players several pathways into the flagship tournament.
The platform supports both cryptocurrency deposits and traditional payment methods, including bank cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Luxon Pay.
