CoinPoker Raises $1 Daily Dollar Sunday Guarantee to $5K After Debut
The $5,000 guaranteed pot for CoinPoker's $1 daily buy-in tournament is now offered on Sundays, just like the other six days of the week.
CoinPoker is increasing the guarantee for its new Daily Dollar Sunday Edition to $5,000 after the micro-stakes tournament surpassed its initial guarantee during its debut.
The Daily Dollar launched Aug. 13 as a new fixture on CoinPoker’s tournament schedule, offering a $1 buy-in and $1,000 guaranteed prize pool every day except Sunday. The Sunday Edition debuted Aug. 16 with the same $1 entry fee but a $3,000 guarantee.
After the opening event attracted enough entries to beat that figure, CoinPoker announced Monday that the Sunday guarantee would increase to $5,000, effective immediately.
CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck has described the Sunday Edition as the “smallest buy-in trophy event in the world.”
Opening Sunday Draws More Than 2,300 Poker Players
The inaugural Daily Dollar Sunday Edition attracted 3,740 entries from 2,375 unique players, including 1,365 re-entries. The tournament generated a $3,440 prize pool, topping its $3,000 guarantee.
Dnxx won the event after firing three entries and collected $453.92, more than 150 times the player’s total $3 investment.
The victory also made Dnxx the first Daily Dollar winner to receive an award in CoinPoker’s Trophy Cabinet. The feature displays notable tournament victories on a player’s public Career page. CoinPoker has previously awarded trophies for its flagship series, but the Daily Dollar Sunday Edition is its first micro-stakes event to offer one.
$1 Buy-In or 10-Cent Qualifiers
Players can enter the Daily Dollar directly for $1 or qualify through 10-cent satellites that award 25 tickets. Freerolls awarding 100 Daily Dollar tickets are also available.
The new tournament arrives during a busy stretch for CoinPoker. Its $1 million-guaranteed CoinMillion crowned its third champion Aug. 10, while the Global Online Poker Championship begins Aug. 23.
The GOPC runs through Sept. 28 and features more than 700 Medal Events with $50 million in total guarantees.
