CoinPoker High-Stakes Cash Games Heat Up During GOPC Series
Seven-figure pots and some of poker’s biggest names return to the tables for some Pot-Limit Omaha.
High-stakes cash game action has picked up on CoinPoker during the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), with some of the platform’s biggest names returning to the Pot-Limit Omaha tables.
A player known as BTCdemon was among those playing at the $1,000/$2,000 VIP Arena tables on August 25, initially facing Barak “iWasOnly17” Wisbrod before Chris “Lukabrate” Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance and Firefox joined the action.
Former Cash Game World Champion Owen “PR0DIGY” Messere also entered the mix and was on the receiving end of an over-pot-sized bluff from BTCdemon holding just Jack-high.
BTCdemon was involved in an even bigger hand later in the session, winning a $1.1 million pot after Lukabrate’s pocket Kings were cracked by rivered trip Queens following a preflop all-in.
Bleznick Returns to VIP Arena
Jared Bleznick has also returned to CoinPoker’s highest-stakes games, battling PencilArms at both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 PLO.
Poker commentator Emil (@EmilTheRaccoon) highlighted their August 24 session, describing the matchup as “two legends at work.”
The action comes roughly a year after Bleznick built a stack of around $1.5 million during one of CoinPoker’s biggest cash game sessions.
“I remember these games,” Emil wrote in a follow-up post. “Sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.”

CoinPoker is also partnering with PokerGO on a promotion offering players a chance to win a seat on High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas.
Weekly qualifiers run from September 6 through October 25, with eight winners advancing to an October 31 final draw.
The grand prize includes a $100,000 High Stakes Poker buy-in, $10,000 in travel expenses and a stay on the Las Vegas Strip.
