MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Ho is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce for Hong Kong.
He is also Honorary President of the Association of Property Agents and Real Estate Developers of Macau, and an Honorary Patron of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macau.
In 2017, the Cyprus Government awarded Melco the first and only casino licence in the country, which granted exclusivity for 15 years.
AWARDS
In January 2018, Ho was awarded “Asia's Best CEO” by the Asian Excellence Awards and in 2016 he was granted the same award by Corporate Governance Asia.
In 2017, he was awarded “Asia's Best Corporate Board Award” by the Asian Corporate Director Recognition Awards and the Medal of Merit-Tourism by the Macau SAR government for contributing to the territory's tourist industry.
In 2015, the Business Awards of Macau awarded Ho the “Leadership Gold Award”.
Ho was then selected by Finance Asia as one of the “Best CEOs in Hong Kong” for the fifth time in 2014.
In 2009, he was named both “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards and one of the “Top Ten Financial and Intelligent Persons in China" by the Beijing Cultural Development Study Institute and Fortune Times.
He was named one of the “100 Most Influential People across Asia Pacific” by Asiamoney and in 2008 he received the “China Charity Award” from the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
In 2006, he was selected as one of “Ten Outstanding Young Persons" by Junior Chamber International Hong Kong.
During his career, Ho won other awards, including “Best CEO” of a conglomerate in 2005, “Director of the Year Award” and “China’s Enterprise Award for Creative Businessmen”.
EMPLOYMENT
Ho has served as the CEO and Chairman of Melco International since 2001.
He is the Founder of Melco Resorts and Entertainment, a portfolio of integrated resorts that includes City of Dreams and Studio City.
Ho is also a member of the National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Vice-Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He is an honorary lifetime member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, and he also was a Member of the All-China Youth Federation and the Macau Basic Law Promotion Association.
Ho is Chairman of Maple Peak Investments in Canada and served as the Chairman of Summit Ascent Holdings.
During his career, he has been Chairman of the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and the Macau International Volunteers Association.
Ho is also on the boards of The Community Chest of Hong Kong and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, he also worked in investment banking, at Jardine Fleming’s Asia Derivates Group and at Citibank.
PRODUCTS LAUNCHED
Melco Resorts owns several integrated casino resorts, having launched Altira Macau in 2007, City of Dreams Macau in 2009, City of Dreams Manila in 2015 and Studio City Macau in 2015.
The group also operates the Mocha Clubs slot machine brand and is in the process of constructing the City of Dreams Mediterranean resort in Cyprus.
Other projects under construction include an onsen spa and a ski resort in Japan.
