Eric Schultz’s appointment as VP, Studio Operations at Konami Gaming comes after a wide-reaching history in the gaming industry with over 20 years spanning multiple roles, with the majority of his career spent at Konami Gaming.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Eric Schultz has a background in the gaming product development industry and has held a range of senior and presidental positions.

Schultz initially joined the Konami team in 2004 when he was hired to be a part of the software engineering team. Since then, Schultz has steadily risen through the ranks, coming to the position of Senior Director of Game Software Engineering in 2014. He remained at the company for over a decade before switching to his next role. 

Schultz transferred to Everi Holdings for a 5-year period as Senior Director and VP, spending one and four years in each position, respectively. 

Schultz returned to Konami Gaming in November 2023, taking on the role of VP, Studio Operations at Konami.  

EMPLOYMENT

In 2004, Schultz started working at Konami Gaming. He began his career as an Engineer/Platform Lead, which is a position he held for two years.  

Schultz jumped to the position of Senior Manager within the Game Software department at Konami Gaming in January 2006. He worked in this position for just shy of six years before making another leap up the company ranks. 

In September 2011, Schultz began a new role as the Director of Game Software Engineering, a position he held until June 2014. 

Following on from his role as Director of Game Software Engineering, in July 2014 Konami Gaming appointed Eric as the Senior Director of Game Software Engineering. With this position, Schultz was himself moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, in the US. 

Finally, Schultz finished off this long stint with Konami as the Senior Director of the VLT and Software Platform department, a role which he held from January 2016 to September 2017.  

Overall, Schultz spent over 13 years with Konami, developing skills from a Lead role to a Senior role across this time.  

After this loyal stretch with Konami, Schultz began working with Everi Holdings, a company known for creating slot machines and providing financial equipment and services to casinos and online operators.  

Schultz started his tenure with Everi Holdings as the Senior Director of Game Technology. This role saw Schultz moving to Austin, Texas. This was a position Schultz held for just over a year, from April 2018 to April 2019. 

In May 2019, Schultz took in the role of VP, Game Technology at Everi Holdings. He held this position for over four and a half years, only leaving the role to take on his new position. 

Finally, in November of 2023, Eric Schultz returned to his former employer, Konami Gaming, where he now holds the position of VP, Studio Operations.
