Matt Prevost, who serves as CRO of BetMGM, is responsible for driving revenue across all business channels with a focus on customer acquisition, retention and delivering consistent customer experiences. His experience includes brand leadership in Europe's competitive betting landscape, coupled with a 30-year career-long understanding consumer and media landscapes.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Before joining BetMGM, Prevost was the CMO of Coral Interactive, which is based in Gibraltar. His contribution to Coral.co.uk with the initial management team brought success over a seven-year period.  

Prevost joined BetMGM in 2019 as CMO and became CRO less than two years later in October 2020.

EMPLOYMENT

Prevost’s career began in 1994 when he was a supply chain manager for Kurt Salmon Associates. He spent four years in this position before moving on to product marketing and management at Loudcloud, where he was a Product Manager for three years. 

Other early career moves for Prevost included a one-year position at Electronic Data Systems as a Global Product Manager. He also had a stint at McKinsey, where he honed his skills as an Engagement Manager. This period provided him with strategic business planning skills, holding the position from 2003 to 2005. 

Prevost's journey continued as he joined Cerberus Operations, where he was an Executive for the project New Page. The company generated $80m annually in incremental savings. He then held a similar role at another Cerberus Operations project, BlueLinx.  

His next project was with Focus DIY as a Marketing Director and then as a Strategic Planning Consultant with Torex. Prevost served at Cerberus Operations and across these four projects for almost eight years. 

After this Prevost joined Coral, acting as CMO between 2012 and 2015. The British bookmaker and online sports betting platform offers in-person shops and online gambling, with a history dating back almost 100 years. 

In 2017, he assumed the role of Chief Digital Officer at New Avon, showing yet another industry jump to add to his portfolio. During his tenure at New Avon, he contributed as a digital leader and served on the Board of Directors. Prevost served in this role until late 2018. 

During this time and beyond, Prevost spent another three years at Cerberus Operations as Senior Operating Executive (SOE) and three years as a Board Member at Housell. He served as Cerberus Operations' SOE from January 2016 to January 2019 and at Housell from April 2017 to December 2019. 

At the end of his time with Cerberus Operations in January 2019, Prevost took up his position as CMO of BetMGM. Then, in October 2020, Prevost became BetMGM’s CRO. In this position, he combines his decades-long background in brand leadership with an understanding of the challenges posed by the US market. 

His role goes beyond traditional revenue responsibilities; Prevost’s position involves navigating customer expectations and media dynamics. In an industry where innovation and adaptability are key to success, Prevost brings a perspective brought together by a diverse career in multiple sectors and a range of businesses. 

BetMGM launched in the UK during Prevost’s tenure in August 2023. It has also expressed an EBITDA goal of $500m in 2026.
