MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
With over 15 years of experience in the gaming industry, Barbaro brings a whole host of gaming knowledge and skills to the table – specifically in the realms of sales and marketing, business strategy and leadership.
Throughout his time, Barbaro has worked for a range of well-known companies, including MGM Resorts, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe and Tropicana Las Vegas.
However, outside of his career, Barbaro has found the time to voltuneer with several different organisations. He served as the Marketing Committee Member of Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority between March 2020 and December 2022, before becoming a Board Member of South Lake Tahoe Lodging Association.
He would later become a Board Member at Visit Tuolumne County in January 2023 and continues in this position to this day.
EMPLOYMENT
Barbaro’s career kicked off in 2000 when he worked for MGM Resorts International. Barbaro stayed with the company for over 13 years from October 2000 to April 2014, ending his time as the Casino Marketing Executive.
Not long into his stint with MGM Resorts, Barbaro also served in the US Army. He held the role of Sergeant and served for 8 years from May 2002 to May 2010.
During this time, Barbaro also studied at both Park University and the University of Nevada, picking up valuable knowledge and skills in the realms of business, marketing and management.
When Barbaro’s time with the US Army and MGM Resorts ended, he took on a new role as the Vice President of Casino Marketing for The New Tropicana, Las Vegas. He held this role for two and a half years from July 2014 to January 2017.
Roughly halfway through his time with New Tropicana, Barbaro was also appointed as the President of Royalty One Mortgage – a role which saw him harnessing his sales, marketing and leadership skills at a senior level. He held this position from September 2015 to February 2018.
Following on from this, Barbaro joined Station Casinos. He first entered the company as the Executive Director of Casino Marketing and Player Development in May 2018, before being moved up to the position of Vice President of Casino Marketing and Player Development in February 2019. In total, Barbaro was with Station Casinos for a year and a half.
Not long after, Barbaro was appointed as the Executive Director of Marketing at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe. He held this position for three years from December 2019 to December 2022.
After his stint with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Barbaro joined the Chicken Ranch Casino. He initially joined the company as the Assistant General Manager in December 2022. One year later, Barbaro took on the role of Interim General Manager, before ultimately being appointed as the General Manager in January 2024.
Regarding his selection for this position, Barbaro commented: "I am honoured and excited to accept the position of General Manager at Chicken Ranch Casino. I am dedicated to maintaining the casino's high standards and collaborating with our team to offer a first-class resort and casino experience for our guests.

Less than five months into his stint as GM, he was offered a role as COO for Granite State Gaming & Hospitality, which he ultimately accepted. This role will require him to oversee operations as Granite State Gaming supports community non-profit organisations.
