MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Ellingson has a range of experience in leadership and presidential roles with a focus on finance and strategy. 

Currently the SVP of Finance and Analytics for DraftKings, it was announced in mid-March 2024 that Ellingson would come to serve as the company’s CFO, taking on the role from former CFO Jason Park who is moving into the role of Chief Transformation Officer. 

EMPLOYMENT

Ellingson completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Utah, followed by a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame. 

His first notable role was at Iron Mountain, an information management company. He joined the company as an Enterprise Strategy expert in June 2012. After nearly three years in this role, Ellingson was appointed as the Director of Corporate/Enterprise in April 2015. 

He held this Director role for a further year and a half before being promoted to VP of Corporate/Enterprise and Global Strategic Finance in September 2016. He served in this position for two and a half years.  

Finally, in February 2019, Ellingson was appointed as VP of Finance, Global Operations Support. He held this position for just over a year before stepping away in February 2020. 

Following on from his time at Iron Mountain, Ellingson began working for DraftKings. He joined DraftKings in February 2020 as the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis – a position that he held for two years. 

In February 2022, Ellingson took on the position of SVP of Finance. He held this role for a year before, in January 2023, he was appointed as SVP of Finance and Analytics for DraftKings. 

Ellingson currently holds the title of SVP of Finance and Analytics. However, it was announced in March that he is soon to take the position of CFO for DraftKings – an move that will come into effect on 1 May 2024.
