Alongside fellow betting operators - DraftKings, Caesars Entertainment and FanDuel Group - BetMGM has pushed its product live on the morning of the launch and is now available in 14 states across the US.
Adam Greenblatt, CEO, BetMGM, commented: “We're thrilled that the BetMGM Sportsbook is one of the first mobile sports betting apps to launch in Louisiana, just in time for this weekend's NFL playoffs. We know that many Louisianians visit our retail sportsbooks in Mississippi, and we're pleased to provide another betting option that rewards customers with one-of-a-kind experiences not available on any other platform.”
The company has invested significantly in expanding its wagering options in the state, with this launch following the BetMGM Horse Racing app which landed in December 2021. The platform allows customers to place bets on horseracing at over 200 venues around the world.
In order to entice customers to its product over its competitors, BetMGM, which started as a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain, will give its customers access to the forthcoming MGM Rewards platform. Launching on 1 February, the loyalty program gives bettors the opportunity to redeem winnings for stays at MGM facilities.
Chris Gumiela, VP of BetMGM Marketing, MGM Resorts International, said: “Today's announcement is exciting as many guests who visit Beau Rivage call Louisiana home. The BetMGM Louisiana app complements our BetMGM Book Bar & Grill, offering customers a great way to interact with our brand.”
