The Cahuilla Casino & Hotel has partnered with Sparket to offer a new betting platform to customers ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl LVI.

Sparket’s platform, branded as the Social Betwork, has been integrated into Cahuilla’s in-person and digital customer offerings, providing bettors with a market to place wagers on the Big Game. Super Bowl LVI will take place on Sunday 13 February.

Daniel Salgado, Cahuilla Tribal Chairman, commented: “We see the importance of social engagement in sports betting. It will play a paramount role in providing a more interactive and enjoyable experience during sports coverage, including allowing friends to challenge each other in a friendly wager.

"The potential of pari-mutuel betting pools will help diversify the sports wagering market in esports as well as traditional sports.”

The Social Betwork platform allows bettors to compete against others, with those who are successful in their wagers climbing the virtual leaderboard. Players at the summit can earn onsite beverages and food, in addition to free slot credits and bonuses.

Aaron Basch, CEO, Sparket, said: “We’re excited to be partnering with Cahuilla Casino Hotel, an experienced tribal operator in California who will help us navigate the expanding sports and esports landscape in the state. Our Social Betwork™ platform will enable their users to access new wagering types, initially via free-to-play games.

“By utilising pari-mutuel odds as a form of peer-to-peer wagering, Sparket's application will enable Cahuilla Casino Hotel to offer better odds and provide more options to their customers in the near future.”

Currently, over $800,000 has been wagered on the Cahuilla Casino Hotel app, with Super Bowl markets including Coin Toss, National Anthem Length, Points Totals and First Player to Score a Touchdown.

According to the American Gaming Association, a total of $4.3bn was wagered by 23.2 million Americans at last year’s Super Bowl.
