Held on the evening of Saturday 5 March, this grand opening party will bring together a collection of sports stars, kicking off with a special parade at 6.30pm that travels from Sky Tower hotel lobby to the new sportsbook.
At 7pm, a champagne toast will be held, MC’d by Michael Buffer alongside officials from Mohegan Sun and FanDuel. This introduction will initiate the opening of a full drink and dining menu available to guests, alongside a high-stakes racebook area which guests will be able to use for wagering that night. In addition, there’s a chance to enter a competition to win prizes such as a signed Derek Jeter baseball and a signed Aaron Rodgers football.
The Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook is one of the largest FanDuel Sportsbooks in the United States, featuring luxury seating for over 200 people, a 140-foot high definition video wall, six cashier windows and 39 betting kiosks that are available 24 hours a day for sports betting on all major sports.
This opening event will celebrate the completion of the build, which has created around 120 new jobs. Guests at the event must be over 21 years of age and will be able to participate in competitions that will see prizes given away every 20 minutes until 10pm. As an extra surprise, there is a special guest scheduled to make an appearance just after the festivities begin.
