Capital One’s The Match to see quarterbacks face off in 12-hole golf contest

Turner Sports’ upcoming installment of Capital One’s The Match, an annual golf competition that pits sports personalities against one another, will this year feature four NFL icons.

Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen will form a quartet of quarterbacks when they take to the golf course at Wynn Las Vegas on Wednesday 1 June.

Brady and Rodgers will team up to take on Mahomes and Allen in the 12-hole event televised by TNT. Rodgers, who plays for the Green Bay Packers, is fresh off a win last summer when he competed alongside professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau.

On the other hand, Brady, who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is out for redemption in what will be his third time competing in Capital One’s The Match.

Brady, playing with pro golfer Phil Mickelson, lost last year to Rodgers and DeChambeau, and before that, to Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods.

Meanwhile, Mahomes and Allen of the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills respectively, will make their Capital One’s The Match debut this June when they face off against their fellow quarterbacks.

Altogether, the four NFL stars have amassed 30 Pro Bowl, 86 NFL Playoff appearances and nine Super Bowl titles.

The event will take place at the Wynn Golf Club, a 6,722-yard, par-70 championship length course located just off the Las Vegas Strip.

To date, Capital One’s The Match has raised nearly $33m for various organisations and has donated nearly 17 million meals to Feeding America.
