Soft2Bet has appointed Nicolás Campano as its new Sales Director LatAm.
Campano will focus on the major Latin American markets and support the company as it expands into the region.
Prior to this role, Campano was the Sales Director for Yggdrasil Gaming and the Head of Account Management Europe & Latin America for Play’n Go.
As part of the announcement, a spokesperson for Soft2Bet said: “With regulated online gaming set to go live in Brazil and major markets such as Mexico, Argentina and Colombia already highly active, South America is a vibrant and growing region for the industry.
“Soft2Bet is delighted to underline its commitment to it by adding Nicolás to its sales team.”
Campano also has experience working as Head of Sales with Play’n Go and being a Sales Manager with R. Franco Digital.
Soft2Bet has recently released a few localised products, such as the online platforms Don.ro in Romania and Quickcasnio.se in Sweden.
On the appointment, Campano said: “I am thrilled to be joining Soft2Bet and particularly excited about the opportunity to introduce our gamification products to the region, which have been proven to be incredibly effective in driving player engagement and retention.
“I am confident that I can help Soft2Bet achieve its ambitious growth targets in Latam.”
Most importantly, though, the Brazilian Senate passed a bill in December that supported the regulation of sports betting.
This was the latest spark in the long-running fight to legalise iGaming in the country, as the opportunity to approve of online casinos has been passed back and forth several times.
While there’s no clear consensus in Brazil yet, the Latam region is otherwise very active in other jurisdictions, such as Argentina and Colombia.
