MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

The Nomination Committee and the Board of Directors elected Ström to take the position due to his time and experience at the company. He co-founded Kambi Group in 2010 and has been a member of its board since its inception. 

Before co-founding Kambi Group Ström founded online gambling operator Kindred Group in 1997. The company owns brands including Unibet and 32Red. 

EMPLOYMENT

Ström’s first position of note was in 1993 when he founded a company that later became Trav- och Sporttjänsten Group. He held the position of CEO at this company for four years, before turning to his next venture in online gaming. 

Kindred Group was founded in 1997. The company was an early entrant into the online gambling market and over the 25+ years of the group's operation it has been able to acquire notable brands like Unibet and launch globally. 

Ström held his position at Kindred Group for a combined 23 years and in this time oversaw the development of Kambi Group, which was a subsidiary of Unibet.  

As a co-founder of Kambi in 2010 alongside CEO Kristian Nylén, Ström has been a member of Kambi's Board for several years. With over a decade of knowledge of the workings of the business and decades of experience in the formation and executive leadership of businesses in the online gaming market, the Board's decision to bring Ström on as Chair of the Board of Directors is understandable.  

As a member of the Nomination Committee and the Board of Directors, Ström's nomination and appointment were made without his participation in the decision-making process. 

The change in leadership comes at a crucial juncture for Kambi Group and with Ström at the helm, the company looks set to navigate the dynamic landscape of the gaming industry, building on its legacy and embracing new opportunities in the years to come.
