Alexandr Shavel, Head of BizDev Department, discusses how 2021 went for BGaming as well as what plans it has for the future – exclusively with Gambling Insider.
Overall, what is BGaming aiming for in 2022?
Throughout 2021, we focused on developing our network of partners. We’ve made a lot of integrations with operators, aggregators, and platforms and have been looking for new approaches in that direction. In 2022, we will certainly continue integrating more partners but there are a lot of other things we want to pay particular attention to.
Games are always an integral part of our work. We are equipped with various mechanics and mathematicians and offer a lot of features that players particularly love. So, we will focus on the needs of both the player and the operator, in addition to the games themselves, such as through tournaments, jackpots, and other quizzes for people to get involved in.
In addition, we will also pay attention to our internal tools in order to maximise the user experience of our clients.
Customer service was launched earlier this year and it has already shown some great results. For us, it is more important than ever to work with our customers, which means delivering products and ensuring problems are successfully dealt with. We are planning to further strengthen this area in the future.
Another aim for 2022 is to increase brand awareness and make the BGaming brand more visible on a global scale and within new markets. And, of course, we will continue to develop the publishing under our own brand. More new integrations, new games in top casinos – these are our goals for the next year.

How does the brand look back on 2021 – is it fair to describe it as a breakout year for the company?
This is definitely a breakthrough year for the company! Over the past 12 months, we’ve made a record number of integrations and have released many new games. We feel confident that our approach is highly appreciated by our partners. Recently, we launched a help centre for clients which has allowed us to find a successful strategy for any situation that has arisen. It has helped us to accelerate this process twice as fast, or sometimes even faster.
At the same time, with each new game, BGaming becomes more appealing to players. We have greatly increased our competence and knowledge in game development, and today we are producing games at a much faster rate. Visiting exhibitions, we see that our platform and our solutions are modern, flexible, and quickly customisable to the market’s needs. But still, technical innovations are impossible without professionals who are passionate about what they do. For me, the biggest pride is our team. We have doubled in size this year. It’s important that we don’t just hunt for new specialists, we help them to grow in the profession. And we all grow together within the iGaming industry. I’m extremely glad that we’ve learned how to do it quickly and efficiently.
What new markets are you targeting? Is there a huge focus on LatAm, for example?
Of course, the LatAm market will be in focus in 2022. It’s one of the promising regions for us but we are not just looking for new clients there, we are also producing content specifically for it. I believe that this approach is more beneficial in the long term. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen our positions in the European market, those of which are already clear to us. In 2022, we are going to obtain at least five more certificates for EU countries. It’s a huge amount of work but one that is extremely significant for iGaming providers. We have also already made several successful steps to the Asian markets, and I hope we will pave the way there too!
But the most important is the opportunity to communicate in person which we haven’t been able to do for a while. Nowadays, it’s usual to work from anywhere in the world, and for us, the BGaming team lives and works in 5 different countries around the globe. We recently discussed your Branded Exclusives on the GI Huddle. What other products have you got in the pipeline?
Yes, Brand Exclusives is one of the key products right now and we are striving to make it more interesting. Thus, we are adding new solutions for further improving games’ personalisation and branding. For example, we offer not just branded games, but also slots for a specific audience of the operator. In some cases, this can be very useful. In the future, all these solutions will affect not only the Brand Exclusives category but also the basic BGaming game package.
We believe that the crypto projects audience will continue growing. That’s why one of our goals is to increase our presence in this area. Being the first iGaming provider to support cryptocurrencies, BGaming should be one step ahead. We will also launch a few trendy features at the intersection of gambling and gaming. Through our analysis of industry trends, we see that it is looking very promising.
What are your plans for ICE and how excited is the company to be in London for the show?
We have been attending offline events and it was a breath of fresh air. During the pandemic, we accumulated a lot of experience and really wanted to share it. This is probably why we feel that exhibitions in 2021 were extremely productive for us!
Now we are looking forward to returning to ICE. And of course, ICE London is the Bentley among the iGaming shows! It is the biggest and most influential event of the year where you can demonstrate all the best things you have been working on throughout the year. In this recent case, even longer. During the pause, we’ve produced the story of Elvis frog which has become very popular. London hasn’t seen it yet! As well as our new mechanics. All new products will be included in a special offer at the event.
What would make a successful 2022 for BGaming if you had three wishes for next year?
Being passionate about what you do is always the best key to success! If you have it, you don’t need to wait for Christmas or New Year to make a wish. So, I’d call it goals, now wishes… But I would like BGaming to:
