Continuing its commitment to local communities, the content provider has made two €6,000 donations to Maltese NGOs Zibel and Friends of the Earth Malta.
Zibel, whose work focuses on environmental clean-ups and raising awareness of problematic waste management, received its donation on World Clean Up Day in late September, with Pragmatic employees also helping the organisation’s divers to remove over nine tonnes of waste from the sea.
Divers scrubbed the sea floor for waste while volunteers on land, including members of the Pragmatic Play team, sifted through the rubbish to separate it for safe and sustainable disposal.
In a statement, the provider described the “sheer amount of waste” as “a stark reminder that just because it’s underwater, it doesn’t mean it’s gone.”
Following on from this, Pragmatic awarded a further €6,000 to Friends of the Earth Malta for its ‘BeeAware’ campaign.
This initiative looks to inform people about the negative effects on bees and pollination caused by plants and flowers absorbing pesticides and toxic chemicals.
It will also involve the creation of a ‘Bee Garden’, with volunteers planting flowers, trees and shrubs to create a safe environment and a variety of food sources for bees.
Coming right off the back of this news, Pragmatic Play announced a multi-product deal with Brazilian operator LuckSports.
The provider will launch its slots offering, live casino games and virtual sports titles with LuckSports as it looks to strengthen its position in the South American country.
“Our Latin American progress continues to be impressive and we’re very happy to take our products live with LuckSports in Brazil,” said Victor Arias, VP of Latin American Operations at Pragmatic Play.
“Our complete portfolio has been very well received by players across the continent and we look forward to achieving even more success with this partnership.”
