Kristoffer Ottosson, the Head of Hosting Services at Internet Vikings, commented: “We couldn’t be happier to have this opportunity to enter the Canadian iGaming market.”
Applications to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) have been open since September 2021; and as such, many operators have already applied for registration; however, iGaming companies were unable to commence offering their services until a complete regulatory framework was achieved and agreed upon.
A formal launch date has now been agreed by the two organisations that regulate online gambling in Canada: iGaming Ontario and AGCO. And as a result, the Swedish tech service provider can prepare to offer its services to local customers.
Internet Vikings will offer the same systems that are currently available in the US, which covers a full suite of Cloud Hosting Services.
The company has recently seen a growing number of data centres in the US, as well as across other countries worldwide, and it intends to expand further across Canada as part of its development programme.
Elena Kvakova, Head of US Expansion for Internet Vikings, commented: “Having already made steady progress around the US over the last year, getting operational in Ontario is a striking move for us.
"We are proud to be ahead of our competition and we’re ready to begin helping iGaming companies to get started in this market, which is showing such enormous potential.”
