Westgate Resorts launches loyalty program – World of Westgate

Westgate Resorts has launched its first-ever loyalty scheme, branded as the World of Westgate, which is available to both timeshare owners and resort guests.

World of Westgate allows users to join for free; they will earn benefits and rewards based on their current tier level. The loyalty scheme features five tiers, ranging from ‘Member’ to ‘Elite.’

Those at the lower end of the tiered system will have basic access to rewards, such as free passes to venue fitness centres, or complimentary in-room Wi-Fi. Those at the top of the scale will receive food and drink discounts, access to VIP lounges and up to 25% at Westgate outlet stores.

The highest tiers of the loyalty program are reserved for those who own timeshares with Westgate. The operator is one of the few hospitality companies which not only markets to those going on holiday, but also individuals who wish to own a share in a resort property.

Loyalty members can enroll for the program, either through the Westgate Resorts website, or via the dedicated app.

Westgate Resorts, which was founded in 1982, is headquartered in Orlando, Florida. The company owns 24 properties and over 14,000 villas across the country, with resorts situated in 10 states.

The resorts themselves feature a variety of restaurant, spa and casino facilities, as well as a variety of water sports, themed activities and live events for guests.

On 25 January 2022, the company issued timeshare notes worth approximately $276m to 22 private investors, 10 of whom were first-time purchasers at Westgate Resorts.

The company styles itself as the “largest privately held timeshare company in the world.”
