Hard Rock Atlantic City rewards employees with over $10m in bonuses

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has awarded its employees more than $10m in bonuses for their efforts during 2021, what it called a “record-breaking year.”

Citing its largest ever increase in coin-in, table games drop and gross gaming revenue (GGR) over 2019, Hard Rock is looking to reward its staff for their hard work.

Over 2,400 eligible team members, both union and non-union, have been slated to receive a bonus for the third year running.

Eight employees have also been randomly chosen to receive $50,000 in cash prizes, while two won all-inclusive stays at a Hard Rock resort and two “grand prize winners” each received a new car.

Hard Rock International’s Chairman Jim Allen, alongside Hard Rock Atlantic City’s President Joe Lupo, addressed team members inside Hard Rock Live, formerly known as Etess Arena, for the property’s “All Is One” themed town hall meeting.

“We look at things differently here at Hard Rock and that’s been the root of our success. Our mottos of Love All-Serve All, Take Time To Be Kind, Save The Planet and All Is One have been around for decades and we continue to live by them today,” said Allen.

“We want to focus on building companionship at work and creating a sense of family among our Hard Rock team members. This is what separates us and keeps us as industry leaders.”

Some insight into Hard Rock Atlantic City’s community efforts and market positioning, as well as an overall brand update, were also provided during the town hall meeting.

Lupo added: “I couldn’t be prouder that Hard Rock Atlantic City was the top performer in the market, the top employer in New Jersey, but most importantly that we are creating a culture based off the core values and motto Love All, Serve All.”
