The casino and sportsbook operator initially partnered with Casino Queen in 2020, launching a temporary sportsbook at the venue with the expectation of expanding in the future.
On 29 March, in partnership with Casino Queen’s parent firm, CQ Holding Company, they will launch a premier retail sportsbook for the casino’s customers.
Officially branded as DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook, the facility will feature a 60-foot video wall, 31 televisions, a VIP area and 38 betting kiosks.
Michael Kibort, Senior Director of Retail Sportsbooks, DraftKings, commented: “It’s exciting to see our shared vision of bringing DraftKings’ innovative mobile app to life, with an incredible in-person experience at the new DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook.
“Through the amazing support of, and collaboration with, Casino Queen, we have created a premier destination for guests to enjoy for years to come.”
In addition to lounge-style seating areas and private booths, customers will also be able to visit new drinking and dining experiences at the sportsbook. During game days, the dining options will be bolstered with sports-inspired dishes, shareable appetizers and speciality pizza.
Terry Downey, President and CEO, CQ Holding Company, said: “With this comprehensive renovation, we are introducing a new era of sports betting, sports viewing and overall entertainment at DraftKings at Casino Queen.
“Our relationship with DraftKings has allowed us to create an all-encompassing, state-of-the-art space that will continue to add to Illinois’ excitement for sports wagering."
The project was designed and constructed in partnership with JCJ Architecture, a firm which has previously been contracted by Foxwoods Resort Casino, Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel and Hollywood Park Casino, among others.
