However, the company has now finalised the $11.9m sale of the 64-room, off-strip boutique hotel, joining several of Siegel’s other properties.
These include The Gold Spike Hotel & Casino, Oasis at Gold Spike, The Resort on Mount Charleston and Rumor Boutique Hotel, all of which were sold in recent years.
The Artisan is among the more popular boutique hotels in Las Vegas, small-scale properties which typically offer a unique theme. The Artisan’s theme, as its name may suggest, was artwork, of varying styles, with different suites offering different décor.
And over the past decade, it has become relatively well known for its full-property buyouts, where an individual or party pays to effectively rent an entire hotel, and which Siegel claims “had never been done before in the city.”
Michael Crandall, Senior Vice President of the Siegel Group, reflected on the company’s 13-year ownership of the property and teased some “very large” future acquisitions in Las Vegas.
“We are extremely proud of the success and reputation established by the Artisan over the past 13 years,” said Crandall.
“It was the last property in a strong portfolio of boutique hotels The Siegel Group created in the Las Vegas market.
“It will always be a part of the history of this city. We are excited about some new, very large acquisitions in Las Vegas which we plan to announce very soon.”
