Sportradar has extended its media data rights partnership with Nascar for a further four years and expanded the deal to include official betting data.
As its Official Data Partner, Sportradar will deliver accurate data to media and betting services from all 97 annual Nascar races.
This will include providing live timing and scoring data to authorised sports betting companies, such as BetMGM, FanDuel and Penn Entertainment.
Eric Conrad, Sportradar EVP of Strategic Partnerships & Content, said: “As the sports industry’s leading technology company and a trusted partner of sportsbooks and media companies, Sportradar is uniquely positioned to support Nascar in capturing commercial opportunities.
“Our ability to leverage these rights in the marketplace will ultimately enrich the Nascar experience for fans.”
Since the first deal between Sportradar and Nascar back in 2015, the two companies have agreed to several media data rights partnerships in the past.
This developed into a multi-year integrity services agreement in April 2022, which would see Sportradar utilise its Universal Fraud Detection System across all races in the Nascar Cup Series.
Joe Solosky, Nascar Managing Director of Sports Betting, said: “Our partnership with Sportradar is foundational to our sports betting strategy from ensuring the integrity of our product to quickly providing authorised gaming operators and media partners with accurate, reliable data.
“Adding official betting data to the partnership will continue to catalyse Nascar’s rapid growth in the sports betting space and allow fans to further engage with the sport.”
In another partnership with a major American sporting body, Sportradar also signed a deal with US Soccer, making it the organisation’s first Official Betting Partner.
