Shape Games, an iGaming front-end provider, has partnered with Sunbet, part of the Sun International Group, for the South African gaming market.
As per the deal, SunBet will utilise the suite of services from Shape Games and Kambi, including front-end solutions for both sportsbook and casino platforms.
Shape Games was acquired by Kambi on 8 September 2022 for €38.5m ($38.4m) as part of an initiative to provide a wider scope of sports betting services to operators, such as SunBet, which has been in a partnership with Kambi since November 2017.

“By partnering with Shape Games our goal is to enhance our customer’s gaming experience by delivering a native app for our Android and Apple users that will deliver a phenomenal, personalised user experience which will make our users love every moment at SunBet.”
SunBet will receive a unique product created specifically for the South African market in collaboration between Shape Games, Kambi and Bede - which will develop the PAM solutions.
Morten Tonnesen, Shape Games CCO, said: “Collaboration with SunBet marks a significant milestone, as we join forces to deliver a highly personalised gaming experience to South African players.
“It’s not only our first client in Africa but also a significant win for us, as we bring another valued client of Kambi on board.
“We are proud that SunBet has entrusted us with the task of bringing best-in-class, native app experience for both Android and iOS users.”
