The Board of Shareholders has officially acknowledged the resignation of Managing Partner of Energame and CEO of Parimatch Group Liashko. This news comes following a decision made during a recent shareholder meeting.
Liashko, who took the role of Parimatch Group CEO in April 2022, later becoming the Managing Partner of Energame in the winter of 2023, was responsible for managing iGaming provider Parimatch's operations in both Ukraine and on a global level.
It's unsure as to whether Liashko’s resignation comes off the back of recent news of the 50-year Ukraine ban reviewed by President Zelenskyy, following an investigation stating the group were operating in Russia, to which they have strongly denied all claims, despite a petition of 25,000 signatures.
At the time, Liashko commented on the petition: “We are Ukrainian patriots. Our fellow countrymen and countrywomen unequivocally agree with that. We have supported our country against Russia’s full-scale invasion from the first day and immediately moved to terminate any remaining legacy business in the aggressor country.”
During Liashko's interim departure, Energame and Parimatch will be overseen directly by their respective corporate boards, with support from a capable team of longstanding senior staff members.
The operational activities of all group companies will continue without disruption. To ensure the continuity of delivering services to customers and partners worldwide, the shareholders have initiated the search for a new CEO.
