Vaneecloo, an industry veteran with over 17 years of experience, has held senior positions at well-known organisations, including Betclic, Genius Sports and Groupe Zeturf, covering both trading and operations roles.
In his new role, he is tasked with developing and implementing trading strategies and overseeing strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.
Dee Maher, Le Royale Gaming Investments CEO, commented: “Boniface is an incredible hire and brings tremendous sports betting experience to the business. His knowledge of the space is unrivalled and being able to tap into this gives us a significant edge.
"We have bold plans to enhance our presence in the sports betting sector and I can’t think of a better person to spearhead those efforts as Head of Sports Betting than Boniface. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to position La Royale as a major player in the industry.”
Vanecloo added: “I am thrilled to be joining La Royale and to be leading its sports betting projects as the company looks to ramp up its presence in the vertical. My experience is incredibly varied, giving me a deep understanding of the sports betting market and I look forward to sharing this with La Royale and helping drive growth over the coming months and years. We have some ground-breaking things in store, and I can’t wait to see the impact they will have.”
This move follows Le Royale Gaming Investments' recent appointment of Dee Maher as CEO, who has enjoyed a career spanning legal and compliance leadership roles at Genesis Global, Betclic, Vera&John and Evolution.
Maher's current responsibilities include supervising the expansion of Le Royale’s Gaming Investment portfolio and overseeing the launch and operations of the company's next venture, a game aggregation platform.
January has seen a flurry of recruitment activity within gaming; most notably, industry veteran Gavin Hamilton was yesterday appointed Chairman at Octoplay.
