nt has signed a licensing agreement with Gauselmann subsidiary Merkur Gaming Italia to distribute gaming content to the Italian Comma 6a retail market, the largest gaming machine market in Europe with over 350,000 regulated machines installed.
Merkur has approximately 3,000 Comma 6a machines available in Italy and 8000 employees. The contract with NetEnt will also enable distribution of games to machines owned by other companies.
Initially, the agreement covers two successful NetEnt products, Starburst and Eggomatic. The games are expected to be launched by the first quarter of 2017.
