The FDJ Corporate Foundation works to create equal opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and will continue to do so through to 2028 — with an increased budget to boot.
For its next cycle, the foundation will have a budget of €25m ($28.3m), up more than 25% from the prior five-year period. This increase, said FDJ, will allow it to “amplify” its support for charitable associations and thus help France’s most vulnerable and in-need.
Charles Lantieri, FDJ Deputy CEO and Chairman of the FDJ Corporate Foundation, commented: “Solidarity is an essential component of the FDJ Group’s raison d’être, as evidenced by the commitment of our Corporate Foundation since its creation in 1993.
“The renewal of the FDJ Foundation for five additional years and its new endowment of €25m, up 25%, demonstrate the importance that FDJ attaches to the action of associations committed to the most vulnerable.
“The Foundation’s action is a concrete expression of our societal commitment and contributes to the group’s extra-financial value.”
Since 2018, FDJ estimates that its Corporate Foundation has helped over 250,000 beneficiaries, through 400 associations.
And in 2021, the organisation conducted a study to measure its social impact. This revealed that for every €1 donated to associations, the social value created amounts to €3.40.
Moreover, 97% of associations said they were “very satisfied” with the FDJ Foundation’s support, while 84% said they felt more motivated and 78% more confident.
