El Cortez Hotel & Casino implements Optx’s casino management platform

El Cortez, one of the longest continuously-operating hotel and casino venues in Las Vegas, has selected the digital platform to modernise the venue’s operations, as well as increase efficiency through automation.

With this agreement, the venue has selected Optx’s full suite of slots, player development tools and marketing capabilities. The platform is able to make recommendations to the casino’s management by creating actionable insights on player engagement levels, revenue and profitability.

The software was developed with the aim of helping casinos spend more time on implementing strategies that increase customer visitation, revenue and profitability, and less time sifting through data.

Joe Woody, CFO, El Cortez Hotel & Casino, commented: “We could not be more excited to be implementing the full suite of Optx programs. Every piece of our operation will now be streamlined, making us more efficient than ever.”

Optx, which was founded in 2019 by a group of former casino executives, has added El Cortez to its growing number of B2C partners.

In January this year, the data platform developer partnered with Three Rivers Casino Resort to provide its full suite of data management and artificial intelligence technology.

This was followed by a similar agreement with Indigo Sky Casino & Resort

El Cortez, which originally opened its doors in 1941, recently completed a multi-staged, $25m renovation project of its rooms and casino areas.

In 2013, the venue was named on the National Register of Historic Places.
