Intralot completes 80% sale of Peru business to Nexus Gaming

The deal was confirmed in May 2016. This is the latest in a string of sales and purchases made by Intralot this year including the acquisition of a 49% stake in Bulgarian gaming company, Eurobet. Antonios Kerastaris, Intralot CEO, commented: “We are proud to expand our presence in Bulgaria through acquiring a strategic share in Eurobet, a market leader in its sector. The complementarity of the product offering between our companies will lead to strengthening our operations in a more consolidated market.”

Intralot will keep a 20% stake in the business, providing technological services and solutions for its operations. The company operates numerical games and sports betting in Peru, both online and through 3,700 point of sale venues.

The sale fulfilled Intralot’s update to investors in its Q2 results and is in line with its continuing strategy “to create, in selected countries, strategic partnerships with strong local partners that offer substantial synergies and local market know-how, strengthening the development of the local business”.
