Mr Green hails successful 2017 with 28.9% growth in revenue

ne casino and gaming operator Mr Green has announced a 28.9% year-on-year rise in its gaming revenues for the full year 2017, marking the company’s most successful year ever.

In its full financial report for the year, the company declared gaming revenues of SEK1.192bn, beating the previous 2016 full year total of SEK924.5m.

Company EBITDA increased by a whopping 103% jumping from SEK91.4m in full year 2016 to SEK185.6m in the following full year.

During 2017, the company launched its ‘Green Gaming’ tool for players, a launch which earned the company the Corporate Responsibility Provider of the year title at the Global Gaming Awards London earlier this month.

The company also launched its online casino in the Danish market and 2017 saw the launch of its first online bingo offering to players. Mr Green also concluded the €7m acquisition of Evoke Gaming in December.

In a conference call announcing the strong 2017, Per Norman Group Chief Executive of Mr Green & Co stated: “I can now state that 2017 was Mr Green’s most successful year ever. We delivered on our strategy, Mr Green 2.0, our product offering is better than ever and we expanded geographically. At the same time, we implemented a unique, industry-leading tool for Green Gaming. 2017 was a positive year for us, with a growth of 28.9% and a 103%improvement in EBITDA.”

Mr Green look set to continue this expansion in 2018, announcing a Live Casino partnership with gaming company NetEnt at this year’s ICE Totally Gaming 2018.

Norman added: “The new year, through 8 February, also started strongly. It is gratifying to also be able to say that Denmark – where we launched the Mr Green casino site on 28 December – had a good start with a strong inflow of customers’.

“During 2018, we will focus on geographic expansion and integrate Evoke Gaming. At the same time, we will continue to develop our offering and enhance the efficiency of our customer communication. Mr Green celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and it will be another exciting year in the company’s history.”
