888 latest to expand virtuals offering after Golden Race deal

By Tim Poole

Operator 888 Holdings has partnered with Golden Race to offer a range of virtual sports games on both its casino platform and sportsbook.

During a time of global shutdown for major sport, operators have turned to other verticals such as online casino, poker and esports.

Also chief among those verticals is virtual sports, as explored in last week’s Virtuals Special of GI Friday.

DraftKings recently entered into an agreement to offer virtuals with Inspired Entertainment, while Golden Race CEO Martin Wachter also recently discussed an expansion of the virtuals in-play market.

On 888’s partnership, Guy Cohen, SVP of B2C, said: “We are incredibly excited about our working partnership with Golden Race ‘Beyond Virtuals.’

“We strive to offer our customers an engaging portfolio of games and this company is at the forefront of virtual sports innovations.”

Wachter, CEO and Founder of Golden Race, said: "We are delighted to announce our partnership with such a prestigious brand as 888.

“We are certain their clients will greatly enjoy our portfolio of highly realistic virtual sports and engaging number games, especially at this moment when they are looking for new products to satisfy the lack of sports events.”
