Sportsbooks donate £1.2m Royal Ascot profits to UK charities

Several UK charities have received donations after sportsbooks handed over profits from this year’s Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.   Charities set to benefit from a share of £1.2m ($1.5m) worth of donations include The Soldiers’ Charity, Sue Ryder, Ascot Racecourse Supports Community Fund, The Ivors Academy Trust and Cotswold Riding for the Disabled.  The funds were raised by Betting and Gaming Council (BCG) member...
