Tipbet is the new main sponsor of the Maltese Premier League team Gzira United

sports betting vendor Tipbet is cooperating with the traditional club as the new main sponsor, when the Premier League campaign of 2016/17 starts.

It is intended to be a long term cooperation. Come next season, the Tipbet logo will to be seen on the jerseys of Gzira United. Being the main sponsor, Tipbet will also be a mainstay, as far as perimeter advertising in the Malta National Stadium, title rights and a comprehensive brand presence around the club go.

Gzira United finished the campaign of 2015/16 in the second highest national division (Maltese First Division) unbeaten on the first rank. The ambitious team advanced with waving flags into the highest division, closing in on its goal to become one of the best Maltese clubs for times to come.

Gzira United was founded in 1947. In 1973 the club celebrated its biggest success, when it won the national Cup. This granted them a participation in the following season's UEFA Cup.
