Custom-built food court will incorporate eco design for SiGMA’s Malta Week festival

The SiGMA Group's success in expanding the brand outside of Malta this year has resulted in record-breaking requests to take part in this year’s Malta Week festival. Which is why the organisers are going all out to bring more value to delegates attending SiGMA Europe this November.

SiGMA is dressing up the entire space for the largest gathering of iGaming execs. In addition to a whopping 32k sqm of floor space the new, larger choice of venue includes a lot of incredible highlights, including berthing space for mega-yachts-turned booths along the adjacent wharf, and a large number of brands exhibiting outside, giving the event that festival feeling SiGMA’s Malta event has become known for.

To accommodate this increase in attendees and to ensure the best experience, SiGMA is investing in some brand new features. A first for the event, the Malta Week festival will include a massive, custom-built food court.

Building something from scratch means catering for a diversity of dietary requirements and preferences. The organisers reached out to some of the top names in the catering business to ensure there are choices for everyone. From healthy choices to sinful temptations, expect to find everything from innovative vegan and vegetarian eateries, culturally inclusive options such as kosher and halal, as well as internationally inspired cuisines amongst the 18 food booths. Brands on board include the likes of Oakberry, Kitchen Concept, Alice Pizza, Kebab factory, Busy Bee, Mannarinu, and Kosher.

This bespoke, 3-floor design stands out – not least because it will utilise recycled materials in its construction. A first for Malta, SiGMA is incorporating recycled shipping containers into the design – both a tribute to the area’s origin as an active shipbuilding yard, and a testament to the company’s ethics.

It is also creating a relaxed 3rd floor rooftop lounge area. Set against the impressive Valletta skyline, this chill-out terrace is the perfect place to continue conversations with new acquaintances, colleagues and long-standing friends or to hold meetings.

A hidden gem for those new to the islands, the area offers a tantalising glimpse of Malta’s unique charm – Valletta Festival Week: New venue, new experience.
