What is the biggest challenge when designing a new online slot game?

The biggest challenge when designing a new online slot game is striking the right balance between innovation and familiarity. We want to create games that are fresh and exciting for players while ensuring they are still intuitive and easy to understand. Additionally, optimising the game's performance across various platforms and devices, maintaining fairness and randomness and meeting regulatory requirements are also significant challenges in the design process.

How do you make your games available in 'any language' and 'any currency?'

WorldMatch is committed to providing a global gaming experience. To make our games available in any language and currency, we invest in localisation efforts. This includes translating in-game text and instructions into multiple languages and ensuring compatibility with different currency systems. We work closely with our partners to tailor these aspects to specific markets, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for players worldwide.

How often do operators approach you for partnerships because of certain games in your portfolio?

Operators frequently approach us for partnerships based on the strength of specific games in our portfolio. Our innovative game designs and engaging themes often attract operators looking to enhance their offerings and cater to diverse player preferences. These partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide players with a wider selection of our high-quality games.

Which games took the longest to develop or are the most unique to WorldMatch?

The games that require more time are those that differ from slot machines. They involve significant research, development and testing efforts. Among these are certainly our pinball Moonflight, our novelty Burger Win and other innovations that are currently in development, which will be released in 2024.

You've completed six new partnerships this year with Bull Gaming, PSM Tech, Salsa Technology, NetBet, and StarCasinò. What have you managed to achieve with these new relationships?

These partnerships have been instrumental in expanding our global presence and reaching a broader audience. Collaborating with companies like Bull Gaming, PSM Tech, Salsa Technology, NetBet, and StarCasinò has allowed us to offer our games to a wider player base. Additionally, these partnerships have facilitated the integration of our games into various platforms and markets, enhancing player accessibility and engagement.

Are you looking to expand into more jurisdictions, if so, where?

Yes, we are actively exploring opportunities to expand into new jurisdictions to continue our global growth. While the specifics may vary, we are particularly interested in regions with evolving regulatory frameworks and growing online gambling markets. We aim to ensure our games comply with local regulations while providing a premium gaming experience to players in these regions. The upcoming jurisdictions we have in the pipeline are Romania and PAGCOR Philippines.

What has been the most successful market for you this quarter or this year?

The most successful market for us this year has been the European market, particularly in countries like Italy and Belgium. We also expect a lot in the short term from markets like Spain, Portugal, and Bulgaria. These markets have shown strong demand for our games, and our partnerships with leading operators in these regions have been particularly fruitful. We are continually monitoring market trends and adapting our strategies to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
