The public awareness program, launched by the AGA in 2019, aims to inform bettors of four key principles to stick to when wagering in the interests of responsible gambling. These include setting a budget and sticking to it, ensuring betting remains a social activity, understanding the odds and playing with trusted operators.
Parx Casino, in Pennsylvania, is part gambling venue, part racecourse.
Earlier this month, the operator revitalised its push into online gambling, relaunching its BetParx app in partnership with Playtech. The app is now live in four states, including Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio, in addition to Pennsylvania.
Both the Parx Casino and BetParx brands will now promote responsible gambling messages at the brick-and-mortar venue, through the app and on social media.
Marc Oppenheimer, CMO, Parx Casino, commented: “Responsible gaming is an integral part of Greenwood Racing’s sports betting strategy. We’re excited to extend our long-standing commitment to responsible gaming and consumer education through this partnership with the AGA.”
Since its launch, the AGA's campaign has received the support of many operators, including the likes of Entain, FanDuel, MGM Resorts International, DraftKings and Penn National Gaming.
Casey Clark, SVP, AGA, said: “The AGA is thrilled to welcome Parx Casino and BetParx as Have a Game Plan campaign partners.
"The expansion of legal sports betting option, to 130 million Americans today, reinforces the importance of bringing together as many voices as possible to educate consumers on responsible wagering.”
