EBITDA also increased by 19% to €8.2m, while the EBITDA margin amounted to 18% for the financial quarter.
Earnings after tax were similarly on the up, increasing by almost 5% to €4.8m.
These healthy financial numbers can be attributed to several culminating factors in Q1, including Aspire Global’s launch certification in the US and Canada, and the announcement that its complete offering is now licensed in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands has proved an active market for Aspire Global in other ways; the supplier has struck a managed services deal with BoyleSports there.
Other deals include those struck with ITSP in Germany and the esports operator WIN Group. The supplier has also been awarded a sports betting licence in Denmark.
These positives both extend to, and are a symptom of, encouraging market movement from Aspire Global’s subsidiary Pariplay.
Not only has Pariplay gained its full licence in Ontario this quarter, but it has also finalised its multi-state deal with US operator Golden Nugget while agreeing to supply content to Alberta Gaming.
These financial figures for Q1 will undoubtedly be interpreted positively by NeoGames, which is expected to complete its acquisition of Aspire Global by 14 June 2022.
Aspire Global CEO, Tsachi Maimon, has commented on the results: “We have a continued strong business momentum and the quarterly performance once again demonstrates the strengths of our offering and the capabilities of our highly motivated team.
“Aspire Global has set new records in the quarter with revenues of €46.3m and EBITDA of €8.2m. I'm especially proud to see the progress we have made in the quarter in North America as well as in regulated European markets by adding tier-one operators to our client list and being awarded additional certifications.
“Aspire Global has clearly established itself as a leading iGaming supplier in regulated markets.”
